Conservative Business Forum Breakfast

You are invited to the next meeting of the Herefordshire Conservative Business Forum at the Harewood End Inn, when our speaker will be Cllr Jonathan Lester. 

Jonathan is the Leader of Herefordshire Council. He represents the Three Crosses Ward which covers 18 parishes across the district to the east of Hereford! He is also the Cabinet Member for Corporate Strategy and Budget.

Herefordshire Council has 53 councillors who are elected every four years by local people to plan, run, monitor and develop the business of the council. The next elections will be on 2nd May 2019.

Jonathan was born in Australia with most of his formative years being spent in Herefordshire. He attended school in Herefordshire and went to Hereford Sixth Form College. He then spent with four years at Reading University focusing on political philosophy.

He has had a career in local government for over 20 years whilst at the same time serving first as a Town Councillor and then as a Conservative County Councillor. He was Cabinet Member for Children & Young People Services for three years and Deputy Leader for a brief spell before becoming Leader of Herefordshire council at the age of 45.

Jonathan is married with a young daughter and lives in Bromyard.
