Clive Butler

Councillor for Bobblestock Ward
I originally moved to Herefordshire in 1986 to run my own poultry business with my wife and two young children who I wanted to bring up in a safe, stable and friendly environment. 25 years on, I have never once regretted that decision. We first settled in Weobley and it was through my children that I first became involved in village life.

I started out helping the local youth club which in turn led me to becoming the Chairman, closely followed by becoming a Parish Councillor, then District Councillor and finally a Governor of both the Primary and Secondary Schools!

I moved to Whitecross in 1998 and although semi-retired I’m still very active. I work for a local environmentally friendly lighting business, I’m a member of the communication focus group and infection control group for the County Hospital and I have recently beenmade Chairman of Halo Golf Club Hereford.

Having thoroughly enjoyed my previous experience of local government, and with Herefordshire giving so much to my family and I, it’s time for me to put something back.
